End of Winter League Dates Announced
MAINE HOOPS AND THE SOUTHERN MAINE SPORTSZONE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE DATES FOR THIER UPCOMING END OF WINTER LEAGUE. LEAGUE PLAY WILL BEGIN THE WEEKEND OF FEBRUARY 11TH AND RUN THROUGH THE WEEKEND OF MARCH 10TH. THE END OF WINTER LEGAUE GUARANTEES EACH TEAM A MINIMUM OF TEN GAMES OVER THE FIVE WEEK LEAGUE. COST FOR THE LEAGUE IS $500.
TEAMS PAYING THEIR ENTRY FEE IN FULL PRIOR TO FEBRUARY 4TH WILL RECEIVE A $50. DISCOUNT

Southern Maine Auxiliary League for Grades 5-8
The Southern Maine Auxiliary Travel Basketball League is designed to give teams more opportunity to play games within the constraints of their current schedules in other travel leagues, like Freeport, Boys Club, etc… Current leagues often play only 10 games over the course of almost 3 months. This simply is not enough game experience for players to develop the necessary skills to succeed and grow. Also, rule limitations placed by Directors of the League tend to hinder development of team and individual play. The Auxiliary League will have very few limitations and for the most part will be “real” basketball. (5th grade level, coaches will decide on rule limitations) Teams will submit current schedules and choose days of play to ensure no conflicts with their Current Schedules.
The League will conclude with an All-Star Game with possible Radio and Television Coverage.
WHEN: Weekend of Dec. 10 – Feb. 18th (minimum8 Game Schedule )
WHO: 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade, Boys and Girls
WHERE: Southern Maine Sportszone in Saco, Maine
FEE: $350 per team
ATTTENTION!! NEW 3rd and 4th Grade League
We are proud to announce a formal basketball league for 3rd / 4th grade boys and girls in the Southern Maine area. The league will be operated out of the Southern Maine SportsZone in Saco. Length of Season – a minimum of eight games will begin in early January and conclude in February with a Playoff and Championship tournament. Winner and runner up teams will receive TEAM teeshirts. Each team will play a minimum 8 game regular season and single elimination playoff will be seeded based on Won/Loss record. Unlike other leagues the SportsZone league will provide you the court to play, the officials and someone on the clock. All you need to do is bring your team and play!
Rules of Play: No Zone Defense, 15 Minute Halves, Full Court Press Last 7 minutes of each halve no press if up by 12 points. Other rules to be discussed at League Meeting.
Cost is $325. per team and includes everything mentioned above
